01/27/10 – Online Classes

Many years ago, someone showed me how to work with multiple worksheets simultaneously within an Excel Workbook.  I was shocked to learn this was even possible, and instantly became frustrated, recognizing all of the time I had wasted previously, due to this specific knowledge deficit.

From that point forward, I made use of my new-found knowledge, and always saved time whenever I worked on takeoffs and estimates in Excel.  Thus, my initial sense of loss was quickly overshadowed by the sense of satisfaction I gained from spending my time more effectively.

In recent years, hundreds of construction professionals throughout the United States and Canada traveled to attend classes I teach in Chicago.  Many continue to make the journey; they come to learn my stress-reducing high-efficiency methods for producing accurate takeoffs and estimates; they come to learn The Eight Essential Stages of the Takeoff and Estimating Process, and the advantages of working sequentially through each stage; they also learn about the unintended, negative consequences caused by various, common, yet ineffective practices.

Today, I offer you interactive ONLINE CLASSES, one-on-one, with me.  Now, you can sit in the comfort of your own home or office, while I teach you the most effective methods to produce accurate takeoffs and estimates.  You can just watch, listen, and learn; you can learn about a specific trade, such as light gage steel stud framing.  You can also get answers to your questions, gaining the specific knowledge you need to improve your speed and accuracy at work.

Too many estimating instructors lack the substantial experience required to teach you effectively, and simply cannot answer all of your questions; others, whose first priority is job security, will evade your questions, answering as if they were a politician running for government office.  I do not withhold any tricks of the trade from those who are willing to pay my reasonable price for an opportunity to learn.
